Musician/actor Joe Jonas has been spotted house hunting in Greenpoint, Brooklyn – not far from his current Dumbo neighborhood. One residence he visited, our spies said, was a $5.65 million triplex at 584 Leonard St.
With an area of 3,102 square feet, the magnificent apartment comes with four bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms — and two levels of outdoor space. It’s located in Brooklyn’s trendy Greenpoint neighborhood, in an area currently being designated as NOMAC — for “North of McCarren Park” — where North Williamsburg and Greenpoint meet.
Usual rates are $1,740 per month.
Last May, Jonas bought an apartment in Dumbo in Olympia for $6.7 million. However, we hear, he’s considering buying an even bigger space to accommodate his two young daughters, Delphine, 2, and Willa, 4 — hence his visit to Greenpoint. The Dumbo unit is a three-bedroom, four-bathroom space that measures 2,654 square feet.
In Greenpoint, the home’s design details include recessed lighting, ceilings up to 10 feet, oak floors — and a 30-foot atrium above an open, modern oak staircase. The main floor features a master bedroom with garden views, a walk-in closet and a spa-like bathroom, while a modern staircase leads to a second-floor family room/media lounge that opens onto a terrace with skyline views of Manhattan. The other bedrooms are on this floor, including one with access to the terrace.
There is also an open plan living/dining area with a chef’s kitchen and breakfast bar with bench seating. The top floor features a 1,000-square-foot roof terrace with an outdoor kitchen and panoramic views. It is one of two units in a four-story building designed by Pliskin Architecture and developed by LTNG last year.
The listing agents are Yuval Vidal and Leonard Steinberg of Compass.
At the same time, Jonas’ former bachelorette at 199 Mott St. in Manhattan is back on the market for $5.99 million. Jonas paid $5.6 million for the three-bedroom, three-bathroom loft in 2018 — a year before his surprise Vegas wedding to Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner after a Billboard Music Awards event. Their divorce was finalized last September.
Jonas first listed the Nolita condo for $6.5 million in 2020, and it finally sold last year for $5.3 million to a mystery buyer, who has put it back on the market with interior designs by Sarah Ivory.
The listing agents for the second-floor unit at 199 Mott are Carl Gambino, Reilly Adler and Les Meyers of Compass.
