Palm Beach’s high-end real estate market is exploding — and Mar-a-Lago is right in the middle of the action.
Since Donald Trump’s November election victory, sales of luxury homes near the president-elect’s oceanfront estate in Florida have skyrocketed.
And now, there’s a new debut in the local market, The Post has learned. Now for sale is an $18.95 million listing at 142 Via Palma, a luxury estate steps from Mar-a-Lago. Specifically, a 15-second drive and a roughly 1-minute walk.
What’s more, new data backs it all up, showing that the ultra-rich are looking to get their piece of the action. This may include this new list.
Appraiser Jonathan Miller, in numbers provided to The Post, said the number of $10 million listings under contract in Palm Beach rose 400% year over year in November and December 2024, with sales volume exploding by more than 612% to nearly $291 million.
In the same time period in 2023, he added, there were three listings above that price under contract — and, in 2024, 15. All the while, sales volume for that space in 2023 totaled $40.8 million — a figure much lower than the one recorded in the previous calendar year.
This home, meanwhile, is perfect for one of today’s big-dollar buyers. Designed for grand entertaining, features include soaring ceilings, a massive fireplace, and formal living spaces that open to a spacious terrace overlooking a 50-foot heated pool.
Comprised of four bedrooms and six bathrooms, the 7,600-square-foot residence also features lush terraced gardens designed by the acclaimed Nievera Williams, offering secluded “landscape rooms” with views and mature greenery.
Margit Brandt of Premier Estate Properties holds the listing.
It is also behind several other major deals within what is now called the “Presidential Security Zone.”
This safety bubble has transformed the neighborhood into an ultra-exclusive enclave.
“This is about a 7-street radius north of Mar-a-Lago that has been blocked off by the Secret Service and the Palm Beach County Sheriff,” Brandt said.
“This unique neighborhood has become an ‘enclave within the enclave’ of Palm Beach Island, which itself already boasts one of the highest concentrations of billionaires in America.”
Brandt’s other listings include a combined $16.9 million at 123 and 127 Murray Road — just 1 minute from Mar-a-Lago — and a pending $25 million sale at 120 Clarendon. Right next door to the President-elect is a $45 million new construction listing at 1090 S Ocean Blvd.
Demand is growing from both political supporters and savvy investors.
“Enthusiasm from many of the buyers is important,” Brandt said. “President Trump’s victory has united a wide range of people in Palm Beach in the past [60-plus] days, from world leaders, foreign dignitaries, titans of industry like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, and hundreds of extremely high net worth individuals and families who have supported President Trump in his campaigns. It’s like King’s Landing.”
Even non-political buyers are flocking to Palm Beach, attracted by the media spotlight and the island’s image.
“Glamourous descriptions in news articles and beautiful images of Palm Beach shining around the world are driving new interest,” added Brandt.
“When they think of Palm Beach now, they see momentum.”
