Kelsey Grammer’s plans to overthrow the English historical villa draw anger from the inhabitants of the area: ‘A shame’

These English peasants are not very deceived with Kelsey Grammer’s plans to overthrow a 200-year-old villa.

The actor, known for his portrayal of psychiatrist Acerbik Fraiser Crane in sitcoms “Cheers” and “Fraiser”, bought a historic English villa in 2023.

And now, Grammer’s new plans to level property have aroused local anger, according to SWNS.

Grammer, 70, bought the house in 2023 with his wife, Kayte Wash, 46, to be closer to her family in Bristol.

The two -bedroom stone is proud of the Bristol Canal, beyond the Welsh coast. The previous list materials advertise the house as containing two to three bedrooms across 1,828 square meters, plus a 332 -square -foot garage.

Planners at the North Somersset Council recently gave Grammer the green light to destroy the villa and build a modern four bedroom home, with a game room and a gym.

Grammer’s plans to level the season home have attracted the anger of the locals and eight letters to the local council that oppose their decision.

“I think it’s such a shame because it’s a beautiful character of character, it’s old and part of the community,” Local resident Wendy Osment, 74, 74, Told sins.

“People have already received a couple of old villas.”

Osment told SWNS that her grandchildren cannot afford to live with her, as wealthy buyers have increased property values.

Others do not have minced words. A 76-year-old local speaking with the Telegraph called the planned decay “a shame”.

The local parish council called the villa a “historical icon” along the coastal road down the road, reported.

Susan Smart, 76, who lives in a trailer park in Walton Bay, said the change would not bother him much, but there were already many community changes.

“I would like her to stay like that, but unfortunately I think in this climate people have got money, they buy home and do things you are able to do just if you have money to pay for it,” Smart told sins.

“I just hope it is in accordance with the other houses that have been made,” Smart said. “Three properties have been dropped over the past year.”

Grammer applied last year to build a large stretch at home, but his offer was rejected. The expansion would have been destroyed the extensions of the 1980s on the three sides of the villa and added a larger addition to twice the size of the original building, plus a new basement.

This offer was denied by the Council, but the actor is undoubtedly no legal obstacle to completely overthrow the house.

Grammer is not yet to respond to the negative expectation of his plans, but the Council demands that its demolition began in or before February 2030.
